FAQ
Q: How much will an investigation cost me?
A: Our services are provided for free. The vast majority of groups in the paranormal community operate in this manner and if someone is seeking money for these services you should approach the situation with caution as it is likely a scam.
Q: Can I stay for the investigation? Can I have other friends/family present?
A: The owners are very welcome to stay during our investigations. We ask that if you would like friends/other family (not already residing at the residence) present that you limit it to 1-2 individuals and only bring them in if you feel it is truly necessary. Limiting the number of people and accounting for everyone's whereabouts helps greatly during evidence review.
Q: If I contact you, how soon will I be able to receive assistance?
A: Currently CRG is serving its clients on a first come, first serve basis . We tend to investigate on Friday or Saturday nights due to the work schedule of the investigators, however if absolutely necessary we may be able to arrange another time.
Q: What can I expect if I contact you?
A: Initially a follow-up email will be sent ASAP. We will then send some questions to help us establish the nature of the events occurring, get phone numbers/addresses, and confirm a time that works for everyone.
Q: How long does an investigation take?
A: It depends on many factors. Investigators will be able to give you an estimate once location and nature of phenomena are established.
Q: Who will be investigating my house/place of business/other location?
Please see our introductions page for a short bio on each of our lead investigators. CRG is a small group that only plans to grow when the need presents itself. As mentioned in a previous question, the fewer people that are present, the easier it is to account for everyone's whereabouts and voices during evidence review. Aside from our two lead investigators, we may bring in a person to help run tech if we deem necessary. Currently our "as needed" tech is Mary's husband and he is very well versed in nearly any technical needs that may arise. If we feel anyone else may be truly beneficial to bring to the investigation we will always let you know before-hand to make sure that is ok.
Q: What types of equipment will be used?
A: CRG currently investigates using digital voice recorders, infrared cameras, a full spectrum camera, a Mel meter, an infrared motion detector, infrared illuminators, UV illuminators, Spectral view (a real time spectrogram), ovilus, and a spirit box/speakers. We hope to add to our equipment arsenal in the future and prefer a more scientific approach (we do not perform seances with Ouija boards or anything of that sort).
Q: Will people know about this?
A: Not unless you want them to. Please click on our investigations tab for further information on how we post the evidence you see on this site.
Q: Are you able to provide follow-up?
A: Yes, When needed we will be happy to provide follow-up. Also when it is possible we will personally present evidence to you rather than just sending you a file.
Q: What if during your investigation you are unable to collect any evidence, but my family and I still feel we are experiencing activity?
A: You, as the person, are always CRG's focus. Whether or not we are able to obtain evidence of paranormal happenings, if you feel uncomfortable in your home we will help you through. We do not want to leave anyone feeling uncomfortable in their own home or place of business and will do our best to help you. If we feel your need is beyond our reach we will help refer you to someone who is better able to meet you needs. Never hesitate to ask us for help if you need it.
Q: Do you sponsor any haunted events?
A: We are hoping to do these and will post information on location, costs, etc as soon as we know!
Q: Do the investigations represented on this website reflect all of the investigations you have completed?
A: No. some investigations are kept private between CRG and the client.
